Indefinite Tense, जिसे Simple Tense भी कहा जाता है, वह tense होता है जिसका प्रयोग हम ऐसे कार्यों के लिए करते हैं जो किसी भी काल (Present, Past, Future) में पूरा होते हैं या होंगे, लेकिन जिनकी अवधि पर ज़्यादा ज़ोर नहीं दिया जाता
हिंदी में ऐसे वाक्य ता है, ती है, ते हैं, या गया, गई, गए, या जाएगा, जाएगी, जाएंगे जैसे शब्दों से समाप्त होते हैं
उदाहरण:
- मैं स्कूल जाता हूँ
- वह बाज़ार गई
- वे कल आएंगे
Indefinite Tense के तीन प्रकार होते हैं
Present Indefinite Tense (Simple Present Tense)
इसका प्रयोग किसी आदत, सामान्य सत्य या नियमित कार्य को बताने के लिए होता है
Structure: Subject + verb (s/es) + object
Examples:
- I play football
- She goes to school
- They eat lunch at 2 PM

Past Indefinite Tense (Simple Past Tense)
इसका प्रयोग किसी कार्य के भूतकाल में पूरा हो जाने को दर्शाने के लिए होता है
Structure: Subject + verb (V²) + object
Examples:
- I visited my uncle yesterday
- She cooked delicious food
- They watched a movie

Future Indefinite Tense (Simple Future Tense)
इसका उपयोग किसी कार्य के भविष्य में होने की बात करने के लिए होता है
Structure: Subject + will/shall + V¹ + object
Examples:
- I will go to school tomorrow
- She will help you
- They will come to the party
