Perfect Continuous Tense का प्रयोग तब किया जाता है जब कोई कार्य किसी समय से लगातार जारी है (Present), पहले किसी समय तक जारी रहा था (Past), या भविष्य में किसी निश्चित समय तक जारी रहेगा (Future)।

हिंदी में इस tense के वाक्य अक्सर रहा है, रही है, रहे हैं, रहा था, रही थी, रहे थे, रहा होगा, रही होगी, रहे होंगे जैसे शब्दों से समाप्त होते हैं

उदाहरण:

  • मैं दो घंटे से पढ़ रहा हूँ
  • वह सुबह से काम कर रही थी
  • वे शाम तक खेल रहे होंगे

Perfect Continuous Tense के प्रकार

Perfect Continuous Tense के प्रकार

Perfect Continuous Tense तीन प्रकार के होते हैं:

Present Perfect Continuous Tense

कोई कार्य जो अभी भी जारी है और किसी समय से चल रहा है

Structure:
Subject + has/have been + V¹ + ing + since/for + time

Examples:

  • I have been reading for two hours
  • She has been working since morning
  • They have been playing cricket since 4 PM

हिंदी उदाहरण:

  • मैं दो घंटे से पढ़ रहा हूँ
  • वह सुबह से काम कर रही है

Past Perfect Continuous Tense

कोई कार्य जो भूतकाल में किसी समय तक जारी रहा था

Structure:
Subject + had been + V¹ + ing + since/for + time

Examples:

  • He had been waiting for 30 minutes
  • We had been living in Delhi for 5 years
  • She had been singing for an hour

हिंदी उदाहरण:

  • वह 30 मिनट से इंतज़ार कर रहा था
  • हम पाँच साल से दिल्ली में रह रहे थे

Future Perfect Continuous Tense

कोई कार्य जो भविष्य में किसी विशेष समय तक जारी रहेगा

Structure:
Subject + will have been + V¹ + ing + since/for + time

Examples:

  • I will have been working for 6 hours
  • She will have been teaching since 9 AM
  • They will have been traveling for two days

हिंदी उदाहरण:

  • मैं छह घंटे से काम कर रहा होऊँगा
  • वह सुबह 9 बजे से पढ़ा रही होगी

Daily Use Examples – Hindi to English

  • मैं एक घंटे से पढ़ रहा हूँ → I have been studying for an hour
  • वे सुबह से खेल रहे थे → They had been playing since morning
  • क्या तुम दोपहर से इंतज़ार कर रहे हो? → Have you been waiting since afternoon?
  • वह शाम तक गा रही होगी → She will have been singing till evening
  • हम पांच दिनों से यात्रा कर रहे थे → We had been traveling for five days

अनुवाद करें

  • वह सुबह से रो रही है
  • हम दो साल से इस स्कूल में पढ़ रहे हैं
  • क्या वे एक घंटे से काम कर रहे थे?
  • मैं दो दिन से बीमार हूँ
  • वह कल सुबह से अभ्यास कर रहा होगा

उत्तर:

  • She has been crying since morning
  • We have been studying in this school for two years
  • Had they been working for an hour?
  • I have been sick for two days
  • He will have been practicing since tomorrow morning

Fill in the blanks

  • I ______ (work) here for three years
  • She ______ (not/sleep) since last night
  • ______ they ______ (study) since morning?
  • We ______ (play) football since 4 PM
  • He ______ (teach) for ten years by next month

उत्तर:

  • have been working
  • has not been sleeping
  • Have, been studying
  • have been playing
  • will have been teaching

Common Mistakes to Avoid

❌ I am working since 2 hours
✅ I have been working for 2 hours

❌ She has been works since morning
✅ She has been working since morning

❌ They will be been playing
✅ They will have been playing

Perfect Continuous Tense हिंदी से अंग्रेज़ी अनुवाद में थोड़ा advanced है, लेकिन एक बार इसका structure समझ में आ जाए तो इसका प्रयोग बहुत आसान हो जाता है। यह tense किसी कार्य की अवधि (duration) को दर्शाने में बहुत प्रभावी होता है
