Was और Were अंग्रेज़ी के past tense (भूतकाल) में इस्तेमाल होने वाले be verbs हैं। इनका प्रयोग तब किया जाता है जब हम किसी घटना, स्थिति या अवस्था की बात भूतकाल में कर रहे होते हैं।
“Was” का उपयोग एकवचन के लिए होता है और “Were” का उपयोग बहुवचन के लिए किया जाता है।
