Past Perfect Tense एक ऐसा काल है जो यह दर्शाता है कि कोई कार्य भूतकाल में किसी अन्य कार्य से पहले पूरा हो चुका था। इसका प्रयोग तब किया जाता है जब दो क्रियाएँ भूतकाल में हों और हमें यह बताना हो कि कौन-सी क्रिया पहले हुई थी।

वाक्य के अंत में “चुका था, चुकी थी, चुके थे” जैसे शब्द होते हैं।
