Structure of Present Simple Tense

  • Negative: Subject + do/does + not + base verb

Affirmative Sentences (सकारात्मक वाक्य)

  • मैं रोज़ स्कूल जाता हूँ।

  • वह जल्दी उठता है।

Negative Sentences (नकारात्मक वाक्य)

  • मैं चाय नहीं पीता।

  • बच्चे स्कूल नहीं जाते।

Interrogative Sentences (प्रश्नवाचक वाक्य)

  • क्या तुम स्कूल जाते हो?
    Do you go to school? 
  • क्या वह काम करता है?
    Does he work? 
  • क्या हम खेलते हैं?
    Do we play? 
  • क्या बच्चे पढ़ते हैं?
    Do children study? 
  • क्या वह किताब पढ़ती है?
    Does she read the book?

Usage of Present Simple Tense

  • To express habits or routines
    Example: I brush my teeth twice a day. 
  • To state general truths
    Example: The sun rises in the east. 
  • To describe facts

  • Add -s or -es with third-person singular subjects (he, she, it).
