Lesson-23
1. पैन उठा लिया गया है।
The pen has been picked.
2. उसे यह क्यों दिया गया?
Why was he given this?
3. हमें क्या बताया गया?
What were we told?
4. उन्हें कहाँ भेजा गया था?
Where had they been sent?
5. उसे घसीट कर पुलिस स्टेशन ले जाया गया।
He was dragged to the police station.
6. हमें 5वीं क्लास तक अंग्रेजी नहीं पढ़ाई गयी।
We were not taught English up to the 5th class.
7. इस साल केवल कुछ विद्यार्थियों को लैपटॉप दिए गये।
Only a few students were given laptops this year.
8. उसे पूछा जाना चाहिए था।
He should have been asked.
9. हमें भेजा जाना है।
We have to be sent.
10. 25 प्रतिशत सीटें गरीब विद्यार्थीयों के लिए आरक्षित हैं।
25% of seats are reserved for poor students.
11. इंसान को स्वर्ग भेजा जाता है अगर वो अच्छे कर्म करे।
Human is sent to heaven if he does good deeds.
12. तुम्हें बुलाया जाना था पर नहीं बुलाया जा सका ।
You had to be called but couldn’t be.
13. ये काम हो जाना चाहिए था।
This work should have been done.
14. मम्मी को पूछा जाता था।
Mom used to be asked.
15. क्या राम को किताब दी जा सकती है?
Can Ram be given the book?
16. उसे क्या दिया गया?
What was he given?
17. राम को किसके साथ भेजा जाना चाहिये?
To whom should Ram be sent?
18. मोबाइल का प्रयोग क्यों होना चाहिये?
Why should mobile be used?

20. मुझे मोबाइल दिया जा सकता है।
I can be given a mobile.

22. तुम्हें सजा मिलनी चाहिये।
You must be punished.
23. हमें खर्च के लिए मिलने चाहिये।
We should be given pocket money.
24. हमारी तनख्वाह बढ़ाई जानी है।
Our salary is to be increased.
25. उससे पूछा जाना था।
He had to be asked.
26.होमवर्क ज़रूर करना चाहिये।
Homework must be done.
27. सारे प्रश्न हल किये जा सकते हैं।
All the questions can be solved.
28. मेरे साथ किसी को भेजा जाना चाहिए।
No one should be sent with me.
29. उसे कहाँ भेजा जाना चाहिये।
Where should he be sent?
30. उसका नाम कुछ देर बाद पुकारा जाना है।

This water is not drinkable as it is saline.
34. मुझे पढ़ने नहीं दिया जाता।
I am not let study.
35. एक विद्यार्थी को उसके सहपाठी द्वारा प्रताड़ित किया गया।
A student was tortured by his classmate.
36. दीवाली ख़ुशी से मनाई गई।
Diwali was celebrated with joy.
37. क्या तुम्हें तुम्हारी लापरवाही के लिए दण्ड दिया जाएगा?
Will you be punished for your negligence?
38. हमें कहीं और भेजा जा रहा है।
We are being sent somewhere else.
39. उसे सताया गया ताकि वो उकसे और कोई गलती कर बैठे।
He was persecuted so as to provoke him and make him commit a mistake.
40. जानवर तब तक नहीं मारते जब तक उन्हें उकसाया न जाये।
The animals don’t attack unless provoked.
41. भूकंप ने खिड़कियों को हिला कर रखा दिया ।
The earthquake caused the windows to rattle.
42. गुस्से में होने पर उसने बंद दरवाज़े को खड़खड़ करना शुरू कर दिया।
Being angry, he started rattling the locked door.
43. आपको फैसला लेते वक़्त निष्पक्ष होना ज़रूरी है।
You must be impartial while making a decision.
44. ये निष्पक्ष रवैया नहीं है, आपने उसे 100 रूपए दिए, और मुझे केवल 10 रूपए।
This is not an impartial treatment. You gave him Rs. 100, and to me just Rs.10.
45. इसकी खुशबु बहुत प्यारी थी और वो पूरे दिन रही।
Its fragrance was very pleasant and lasted all day.
46. इस पेड़ के होने से हमेशा खुशबु बनी रहती है।
The presence of this tree guarantees a sweet fragrance all the time.

I make clay sculptures. People call me potter.
50. मूर्तियों को आम तौर पर लकड़ी,प्लास्टिक, चिकनी मिटटी या किसी धातु से बनाया जाता है ।
Sculptures are generally made of wood, plastic, clay, or some metal.

54. ये इस बात का संकेत देता है कि हमारे बीच कितना प्यार है ।
It gestures how we love each other.
55. मुझे बहुत बुरा महसूस हुआ ।शायद मैंने उसके साथ गलत किया ।
